This cultural program aims to spread the message of patriotism
A unique music and dance show titled National Patriotic Project – Come India Sing Jana Gana Mana will mark Independence Day with a host of activities for the youth. Organised by the Lorraine Music Academy and LAMP Trust, the launch of the project will include patriotic and folk song performances and dances depicting India’s cultural ethos of unity in diversity.
“When this musical imagination and experience of singing our National Anthem is ignited in a group circumstance, we have the most extraordinary power to change young lives for positive living and nation-building,” says Aubrey Aloysius, Chairman, National Patriotic Project.
The project will also host a nationwide talent contest called Come India Sing. Open to all ages, it will include a slogan writing contest to express what the National Anthem means to the participants. “Music is food for the soul. Good food and good exercise gives you good stability. Good diet of the right kind of music gives you mental, emotional, intellectual and spiritual stability,” says Aloysius.
And you can celebrate the holiday with your family as participation is at an individual, family or group level. One has to record a video singing the National Anthem, upload it on YouTube and complete the registration form on the academy’s website. “Music helps the creative process and sparks imagination and ideas,” Aloysius signs off.
